Each wood fiber Epicurean Gourmet Utensil handle is shaped with the same select material used in all of Epicurean's renowned cutting boards - making them sanitary and dishwasher safe. To top it off, each Gourmet Utensil is has a high temperature (600 degrees F) nylon head that safe for non-stick cookware, and is perfectly suited for its job.

As with all Epicurean Gourmet Series Utensils & Cutting Surfaces, these Saute Tools are NSF (National Sanitary Foundation) Certified, as the nonporous surface is easy to clean and will not harbor bacteria. Unlike traditional wood and bamboo utensils, Epicurean wood fiber utensils are dishwasher safe.
Heat Resistant
The heads of each of the Epicurean Gourmet Series Utensils are heat resistant up to 600-degrees, so you can cook without worry. (Not microwave safe.)

Epicurean kitchen utensils are exclusively manufactured in the United States of America. The handles are made of Richlite, a wood composite material comprised of a mixed source of wood fibers. The same durable laminate material is used in skateboard parks, which is where Epicurean has its roots. The Natural, Slate and RC100 materials are all certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
