In this class, you will learn the art of crafting the perfect torta salgada from scratch. Nanda will guide you through the process of preparing a light, fluffy dough that forms the base of this versatile dish. You will learn how to add a varity of savory fillings such as carrots, beets, and proteins like chicken, beef, tuna, or turkey breast to enhance the flavor and texture. Finally you will finish it off with mayonnaise or very creamy mashed potatoes and straw potatoes.

About the Chef... Nanda Linford comes to us all the way from Brazil. She is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu where she studied Classic French Confectionery. She has also studied cake structure, chocolate, modern pastry, and French gastronomy (the study of the relationship between food and culture, the art of preparing and serving rich or delicate and appetizing food, the cooking styles of particular regions, and the science of good eating).
