July 25th @ 6:00 PM - Hands-On Pavlova with Nanda

Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert topped with homemade whipped cream and fresh fruit. This dessert originated in Australia in the early 20th century. It was named after a Russian ballerina named Anna Pavlova, because the dessert and the dancer are “light as air”.

Nanda will teach you how to make these delicious treats from scratch. You will learn the proper technique for getting your meringue thick and creamy and how to pipe the meringue into nests for the base. Then you will enjoy decorating your own beautiful pavlovas with whipped cream and fruits.

The flavor combination of this dessert will surely have your tastebuds tingling!

About the Chef... Nanda Linford's desserts are not only gorgeous, but they taste amazing, too! She is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu where she studied Classic French Confectionery. She has also studied cake structure, chocolate, modern pastry, and French gastronomy (the study of the relationship between food and culture, the art of preparing and serving rich or delicate and appetizing food, the cooking styles of particular regions, and the science of good eating).
