April 26th @ 6:00 PM - A TASTE OF BRAZIL: Empadão (Brazilian Creamy Chicken Pot Pie) with Nanda

Out of stock

Join us for a new class at Love to Cook where we will introduce you to a popular taste of Brazil. Empadão is a type of pie made with very soft crumbly dough, derived from Portuguese casseroles. They are very popular at parties but can also be found in pretty much any Brazilian bakery. The buttery and flaky crust melts in your mouth and the pie has so much creamy filling that each bite is full of all the goodness that makes this pie such a hit! There are a variety of fillings such as broccoli, hearts of palm, garlic, leek, cod, shrimp, chicken and more. In this class, Nanda will teach you how to make her famous Creamy Chicken Empadão.

It’s not every day you get to eat and learn how to make a Brazilian specialty from a professional Brazilian chef! You don't want to miss this night of cultural learning and delicious food!

About the Chef... Nanda Linford comes to us all the way from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Her food and desserts are not only gorgeous, but they taste amazing, too! She is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu where she studied Classic French Confectionery. She has also studied cake structure, chocolate, modern pastry, and French gastronomy.
