Discover the art of making a rich, creamy risotto while exploring the depth of flavor that black garlic brings to the table. In this hands-on class, Nanda will guide you through her original recipe—an earthy, aromatic dish that perfectly balances the sweetness of black garlic with the savory richness of mushrooms.
You’ll learn how to differentiate between the types of rice best suited for risotto and master the techniques that create its signature silky texture. Along the way, you’ll uncover the fascinating transformation of black garlic—from fresh white cloves to their soft, dark, sweetened form through a careful process of heat and humidity. To finish, you'll add a touch of crunch with optional nuts such as almonds or Brazil nuts, bringing texture and elegance to your dish.
