January 30th @ 6:00 PM - Sourdough Bread Demonstration Class with Sarah

$50.00

Sourdough is unique, because it does not require commercial yeast to rise. Instead, it’s made with a live fermented culture, a sourdough starter, which acts as a natural leavening agent.

In this demonstration class, Sarah will teach you the basics of sourdough bread making, from having a healthy starter to baking the perfect loaf of bread. Class participants will get their own sourdough starter to take home plus information on how to be successful in making, forming, and baking sourdough bread.

About the Chef...  Sarah is an obsessive stress home baker with nearly a thousand loaves notched on her belt. She did not eat them all, thank goodness, but gave them away to unsuspecting neighbors, friends, postal workers, and strangers she met on morning walks.

**This class is primarily a demonstration with some hands-on participation.

Date: January 30th @ 6:00pm

Time: 1 -1 ½ hours
